Inter-School Athletics Triumphs at Rowley Park

Our students have excelled on the sports field. Last week, our KS2 pupils from St-Annes competed in an inter-school athletics competition at Rowley Park, showcasing excellent determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day. Their efforts were nothing short of outstanding, and they should all be very proud!

Highlights of the day included:

– Immy winning the Year 6 girls’ rounders ball throw with a massive 25.6m.
– Staś winning the Year 3 boys’ 50m sprint.
– Luke winning the Year 5 boys’ 100m sprint.
– Isabelle securing 3rd place in the Year 6 girls’ shot put.
– Seb taking 2nd place in the Year 6 boys’ shot put.
– Camden earning 3rd place in the Year 4 boys’ 50m sprint.
– Liliana finishing 2nd in the Year 6 girls’ 75m sprint.
– Tola placing 2nd in the Year 3 girls’ skipping event.
– Year 4 relay team finishing 3rd in the 4x50m sprint.
– Year 3 relay team finishing 2nd in the 4x50m sprint.

Every child who competed should feel incredibly proud of their efforts, whether they came home with a medal or not.

CADSSA Athletics Success

On Wednesday, the CADSSA athletics event took place, and our Key Stage 2 children performed incredibly well, demonstrating superb sportsmanship. Mr Jones and Miss Leyland proudly brought back three trophies: the Year 3/4 boys trophy, the Year 5/6 boys trophy, and the Year 5/6 girls trophy. Our trophy cabinet is bursting with pride!

Fingers crossed we are as successful at the Northwood MAC athletics on Friday evening.
