Painsley Catholic College

“Please can I offer my sincere congratulations and thanks to the outstanding effort and work you and your team has put in over the last week(s) leading to the school closure, so far I feel it had been extremely successful, I have a son in Yr 10 and Yr 8 and the lessons and work you and your staff have put in place is truly remarkable in the short space of time you had. I’m a TA in a primary school and I have been passing your letters and your guidance to our head and we have been taking your lead even though we are not part of the Painsley family, to our pupils and families. Please could you pass on my thanks to all staff? Please stay safe.”

St Austins

“I wanted to email to pass on how impressed I have been with the support, both for children and parents, and teaching …. during the closure period.  I really would like to thank St Austin’s for everything everyone is doing for the children and parents in these difficult times. Strangely, I feel my connection to the school has grown since it temporarily closed!  Parents have drawn together with WhatsApp groups and making friends on social media to support each other and keep the children connected. What a fantastic community we have, which you are at the heart of.”

St Mary’s Brewood

“Just a little note to thank you all for the very thorough, and frankly, lovely letters that have come from school. As if you’re not busy enough teaching all the kids, your communications have been brilliant too.  A-mA-zing. You are all superstars and much appreciated by us all!”

St John’s

“Thank you to Mrs Cornes and all her team for providing a clear and concise guide to home schooling. The work we are supplied with is perfect for their age groups. The online classes are great and the science and art projects are fantastic and we particularly love the recent addition of Mrs Dickinsons French lessons.   The school website and Google Classroom is updated promptly and the extra curricular activities are spot on. We are keeping to a routine at home and the support we are getting from the school is perfect. We have had phone calls to check how we all are and encouragement throughout this strange time.

Thank you to all at St. John’s.”

St Filumena’s

“I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you and to tell you that we are so pleased that you are able to teach our child on line, each day. It is a blessing and we are so relieved that the school has stepped in and has arranged this for all the children in year 3.  It’s all new and difficult for us all in these testing times, and I just wanted to pass on my thanks to you. Our child is really enjoying the interaction again with you and the other children in her class.

We think you are doing a wonderful job and I know from the Year 3 mums WhatsApp group messages over the last week, all other mums are in agreement!”

Blessed William Howard

“We, as a family, wanted to say a very big thank you for the way you and your staff have dealt with home schooling over the last 2 weeks.  It must have taken a lot of hard work from everyone to set this up in such a short space of time.

You have all done an incredible job in making sure the children have had limited disruption in their schooling and been able to continue with their lessons from home. Personally for us, our son has not missed one lesson, all of his teachers have been doing a fantastic job at presenting lessons, sending work out, marking and sending back promptly.

The communications have also been a great help and reassurance during such unprecedented times.

I have spoken to many friends over the last two weeks and have said how brilliant Blessed William Howard have been, please pass on our thanks and best wishes to everyone involved.”

St Joseph’s

“I enjoy seeing all the other children’s work on Facebook, and being inspired by what they are doing. I wanted to tell you what a great job everyone is doing with engaging the kids and supporting their learning and development in these difficult circumstances.”

St Anne’s

“Joseph has tried hard this week.  We have looked at the spellings and tried to use them all week. He has spent time with his Nanna using Zoom to look at equivalent fractions and the videos directed to watch. We made a Play Dough model of the earth and a volcano.  Joseph has spent time looking at the stars through his telescope and has also watched some space documentaries for additional learning.  Thank you for setting out our work so clearly and providing easy access to it.”

The Faber

“I think you are doing an amazing job. My children really benefit from the routine these lessons give them and also keeps their minds active. The Oak National Academy tutorials are specifically useful as the children can pause whilst they complete these tasks which meets the children’s individual needs. I also feel that asking them to show their work or email their work will encourage them to complete the tasks asked of them. All in all a great experience.”

St Giles’

“I just wanted to thank you and your support staff, for the time and effort that you have all put into home learning. The attention to detail is second to none and the supportive learning videos that you add on to Purple Mash are incredibly helpful and useful. We refer back to these videos when needed. Not sure what I would do without them, as I do believe they give ‘us as parents’ clear direction on how we can assist the children. This is ensuring consistently in learning whether it be, at school or home. I cannot begin to imagine the enormous workload, that you and your team must have to get though. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank, each and everyone of you. Since starting our home learning, I have always felt supported by the wonderful team at St Giles. We as parents have an abundance of information to support and encourage our children’s learning.”

St Thomas’

“Thank you to you all at St Thomas’. Everything that you have done to ensure that the children continue their education as best as they can has been so appreciated. We know that it can’t be easy for any of you. The live lessons are absolutely brilliant and something which I’ve enjoyed listening to as well and the work ideas set for the week and timetable to follow has been everything that we have needed to give the children routine and structure in this unprecedented situation. I’m sure that each and every parent of the students at st Thomas’ is aware of the support that we have from the staff and can’t thank you enough for everything that you are doing. Keep doing what you are doing because you are doing good. Many thanks once again. We love the school that we are apart of and we will look forward to seeing you all soon. Xxxxx”

Blessed Mother Teresa’s

“I want to thank you on behalf of all the family for all your wonderful guidance and care with home learning. Having our child as ‘the learner of the week’ did brighten up our weekend.”

St Mary’s

“Hello to all the wonderful staff at St Mary’s,
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for all their hard work. Emily and Annabel have really enjoyed the activities and welcomed the support from their individual teachers that has been given over the past couple of weeks. We have been amazed by the structure and progress they have both continued to make. It is certainly not an easy time but if anything it feels like we are all part of a stronger community than before.”

St Patrick’s

“Thank you to every single member of staff, who all continually support and look after our children as if they were your own! We are in uncertain times but a heart felt thanks for all you have done and will continue to do for the parents and children of St Patrick’s.”
