People really matter
Whether you’re joining us as a support staff member, an ECT, in a leadership position, and everything in between, we will invest in you and your development throughout your career. By all working together, supporting and motivating each other, we believe we can raise current standards and transform the lives of our students. If, as a MAC, we support you to help you reach your potential, we can help ensure all the children you teach or support will also reach theirs.
The Catholic values that underpin all of our schools means that, when you join one school, you become a true member of the wider Painsley Catholic Academy family. As children of God, we believe that we should love and respect each other and this is demonstrated by the fantastic support you will receive from colleagues.
We believe that exceptional communication will provide enhanced spiritual development, life chances and opportunities for all.
John 15:12
“This is my commandment: love each other just as I have loved you.”

Do you have to be Catholic to join The Painsley Catholic Academy?
No. 51% of teachers in Catholic schools are Catholic*. Catholic schools value and respect all staff members regardless of backgrounds or beliefs and promote and support the vocation of teaching.
For certain leadership positions (eg. Principal / Headteacher, Vice Principal / Deputy Headteacher and Head of Religious Education and Lay Chaplain) there is a requirement that the position be filled by a practising Catholic in order to maintain the Catholic ethos of the school.
